I find it very useful to be able to have shortcuts to my wifi connections on my desktop. However I couldn't find any builtin way to do this. Drag and drop from connection manager doesn't work.
The next best thing I could do was create a shortcut to a batch file with this command.
netsh wlan connect ssid=FSPOT1 name=FSPOT1
